Glad you asked! Let me break it down piece by piece.
"Holistic" is a term used when a modality is addressing the WHOLE person: Mind, Body, Spirit. Or, Physically, Mentally, Emotionally, Spiritually, and Energetically. "Life," well that's pretty explanatory, its what we're up to here. "Coach," is someone who enthusiastically teaches and guides someone, or a team, in a certain set of skills, sport, way of living, etc. The best coaches are ones who are skilled in what they are teaching and guiding others to do because they have most likely done it themselves. Someone who played guitar their whole life, while they may be an AMAZING musician, most likely wouldn't make a very successful football coach, right? Well, same goes with a Holistic Life Coach. The best Holistic Life Coaches, are those who are skilled in a Holistic way of living because they live it themeselves. Since 2004, I have been on a "Mind-Body-Spirit," two feet in, delusion-busting, tear jerking, laughter inducing, ("balls to the wall" if you will) journey of healing and self-discovery. This journey has left me feeling like I just NEED to share the peace, freedom, self-love, and confidence that I have discovered not only through my studies, but also through my own personal healing. The crazy part, is that it has been within me all along. I just didn't see it because of those pesky negative thoughts I had floating around in my thoughts, in my energy, and materializing as ailments in my body. My life story, and all of the drama from the past, is way too long to properly portray here. What I can say, is that I've lived most of my life battling against myself. Battling against addictions. Battling against depression. Battling against my weight, and my body in general. Battling against my family, my friends, and my intimate partners. Battling to stay afloat financially. Just battling. Yuck, how exhausting! As a side note, I want to say, I do not claim to have completely "mastered" all of these areas of life. We are always growing, and I'm not exempt from that. What I have discovered, though, is an Inner Peace that goes with me in my life as a WHOLE. Life is a gradual unfolding and evolution of each of us collectively, and personally. Having peace that no person or situation can take away, to me, is the REAL gold. Does having Inner Peace mean I no longer get angry, or sad, or fearful? Not at all! Having Inner peace, to me, means having a Trust in life that everything is going exactly as it's meant to be going. It means I can stop trying to control everything, and just breathe. I can stop being the victim of everyone and everything. I can look at life and say "Thank You," because no matter how hard or devastating what I am going through can be, it is all for the purpose of my growth and evolution. With each event that I "make it through" in life, I learn to love and trust myself, and this Universe a little more each time. I learn how to take care of ALL of the parts of me, Holistically. I chose to become a Holistic Life Coach because my desire is that everyone ON THIS PLANET experience their own Inner Peace. For now though, I'm starting with me. Today, may you also discover you!
